GOALS

The festival aims to:

Create a prestigious forum revealing the valuable high levels of artistic expression, the different roads that creative thinking takes today, the freedom and individual choices in the aesthetic interpretation of the world.

Represent the contemporary artistic situation in Bulgaria as it is in the beginning of the 21 century – with its stylistic variables, with its traditional plastic base and radical experimental trends.

Preserve and enhance the sustaining and development of a real creative process, the innovative thinking and high professional aesthetic expression in the modern public and cultural environment, where powerful destructive factors are at work.

Stimulate the creation of high quality works of art, which will on their part be the focus of museum and collectors’ attention and part of the best national art which will present Bulgaria to the world.

Expand its cultural premises with the inclusion of foreign artists, curators, critics and gallery owners, whose participation and sojourn at the festival will bring about interesting and important aesthetic juxtapositions, professional contacts, discussions and ensuing projects.

Integrate the Bulgarian visual art and its creators into the European and world cultural spaces, artistic centers and significant forums.Build a positive cultural image of Bulgaria and promotion of the creative and spiritual beginning of our cultural community before the world as opposed to the assumed negative features of the Bulgarian mentality.

Create rich visual and documentary information bank for the promotion of Bulgarian art and overcoming the cultural anonymity to which Bulgarian artists have been submitted.

Present the artists with their most creative and their best features without consideration of the market status quo.

Create a spiritual celebration
in which the participants,
the audience and the cultural public will realize their elevated mission and role in the life
of art, the protection and development of spiritual culture in these difficult times of conflict.
